After seven wonderful years in our Glenelg South studio, the time has come for a new chapter. Our final day in the space will be Friday, August 22. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I want to take a moment to reflect on the journey, celebrate the community that has surrounded me, and share what’s next for Claire Brooks Studio Gallery.

How It All Began
When I first opened the Glenelg South store, I had a vision: a calm, welcoming space where jewellery could be created, taught, and treasured. The early days were filled with paint-splattered overalls, late-night concrete grinding, and more than a few cups of tea and coffee.
Every corner of the studio was carefully thought out: a handcrafted workbench, open shelves for gemstones and tools, and a warm, light-filled area for teaching.
It was never just about jewellery. It was about building a creative home. And that’s exactly what it became.
A Community That Became Family
One of the greatest joys of being in Glenelg South has been the people. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside and next to some truly wonderful souls.
To the shoemaker, Eugenia Neave, her beautiful family, and sweet Winnie (who was always up for a cuddle), thank you for your warmth and kindness. The talented team at Ply Architecture next door, Cassie and her crew at Maison Jacquet Hair Salon, and my go-to favourites at Polk and Sabai Café; you have all made this little corner of Glenelg feel like the heart of the world.
To my amazing customers and students, thank you for walking through my doors, trusting me with your stories, and allowing me to be part of your milestones. Every bespoke piece and every jewellery-making class has held a story, and I’ve been honoured to help bring those stories to life.

Memorable Moments and Meaningful Creations
Over the years, we’ve crafted hundreds of pieces that have marked weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and “just because” moments. I’ve seen nervous students walk in without knowing which end of a saw to use, only to leave proudly wearing a ring they made themselves.
I’ve created heirloom-quality engagement rings, wedding bands inspired by ancient symbols, pendants etched with personal meanings, and even the occasional surprise gift from someone just wanting to say, “I love you.”
Some of the most fulfilling moments came during our jewellery classes. The laughter, the pride, the friendships formed over saw blades and sandpaper. These are memories I’ll always carry with me.

What’s Next?
While I won’t have a physical studio for a couple of months, I’m not going anywhere. I’ll still be making bespoke pieces from behind the scenes, and we’ll be popping up now and then with special events.
There’s no set reopening date just yet, but I’m aiming for the end of the year. If you would like to be the first to know when and where, make sure you’re following along on Instagram, Facebook, and sign up for my mailing list.
Thank You, Glenelg South
To everyone who has walked into the studio, chatted at the counter, joined a class, commissioned a piece, or simply shared a smile, thank you. Your support has meant more than I can put into words.
This isn’t goodbye forever. It’s just a gentle pause as I prepare for the next exciting chapter.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Claire
