One Day Class

Join me in my beautiful studio gallery in Glenelg South for a full-day workshop where I teach you how to set a cabochon stone into a handmade pendant. This course is perfect for ambitious beginners and a great excuse for those with jewellery-making experience to get back into basic stone setting.

During this one-day class, you’ll learn how to design and hand-make your very own bezel-set gemstone pendant.

Suitable for the ambitious beginner or those with jewellery-making experience, this class teaches you to saw-pierce, file, solder and set a cabochon gemstone pendant within the relaxed, intimate setting of my studio gallery in Glenelg South.

Class sizes are limited to five people so that everyone gets a good amount of one-on-one time.

A materials kit is supplied at the beginning of the class and includes a small, round cabochon stone, silk thread, enough silver to create one small to medium-sized pendant, saw blades, solder, sandpaper and other consumables.

At the end of this course, you will have explored the art of:

  • Design development
  • Saw piercing
  • Soldering
  • Basic bezel setting.

A selection of chains, findings and premium stones will be available for purchase if you wish to upgrade.
