Adelaide jewellery designer: Claire Brooks launches online jewellery store for Christmas

I wanted to create a gift that is not only completely unique but also plays with light to create a surface that subtly shimmers when worn. I love texture and am fascinated with the way that embossed silver bounces colour from the surrounding environment. My Eclipse earrings are a true reflection of all of these ideas.

Carols are playing on the radio, Christmas lights are being strung up around the house, and there’s a certain magic in the air. It can only mean one thing – Christmas is finally here!

And to celebrate, I have some exciting news – I’m relaunching my online jewellery store just in time for the festive season!  You can now purchase our unique, handmade sterling silver Eclipse and Pressed Flower earrings on my website. Surprise your favourite person with a special piece of jewellery that they can treasure for years to come.

Read on to learn more about my new online store and what pieces of jewellery you can place under the Christmas tree.

Our range of Eclipse earrings

I wanted to create a gift that is not only completely unique but also plays with light to create a surface that subtly shimmers when worn. I love texture and am fascinated with the way that embossed silver bounces colour from the surrounding environment. My Eclipse earrings are a true reflection of all of these ideas.

Fine Glimmer Pattern earrings

Roller embossed with an exquisite pattern, the Fine Glimmer Pattern earrings feature a soft, pearlescent look that sparkles in the light. A lightly polished finish gives these earrings a subtle glimmer, making them the perfect gift for your special loved one.

Soft Sparkle Pattern earrings

Effortlessly stylish in design, the Soft Sparkle Pattern earrings are simple enough for everyday wear. These earrings are mounted on our Claire Brooks signature geometric hook, which is both elegantly striking and comfortable to wear.

Moon Glow Pattern earrings

The best sellers in my Eclipse range, our Moon Glow Pattern earrings are a unique blend of high-end glamour and subtle elegance. These earrings also suit a wide range of people, making them the ideal Christmas present for your favourite jewellery lover.

Our range of Pressed Flower earrings

I have beautiful memories of collecting and pressing Australian wildflowers at my grandparents’ house as a child. I wanted to emulate that feeling of nostalgia and the child-like wonder I felt walking down the garden path with my grandmother. With these treasured memories in mind, I created my Pressed Flower earrings.

Native Violet earrings

Delicate and refined, our Native Violet earrings are lovingly hand-cut and filed using sheets of sterling silver to create a unique, layered effect, making each pair truly one of a kind.

Flannel Flower earrings

Lightweight for everyday wear, our Flannel Flower earrings are a great gift to post overseas. Now you can give your loved one a taste of Australia’s rich landscape.

Everlasting earrings

Based on the native wildflower that I loved as a child, our Everlasting earrings combine child-like wonder with Australian flora. Each sheet of sterling silver is either brushed or blackened, creating a striking contrast between the layers.

Blue Lady Orchid earrings

Designed with an industrial twist, these earrings are the perfect blend of softness and edge. Because they are completely handmade, our Blue Lady Orchid earrings may have varying petal shapes – adorning your ears with a unique piece of jewellery.

At Claire Brooks, we create custom-made, bespoke jewellery so you can have the perfect piece that reflects who you are. We also create ready-made jewellery for gifts and special occasions. Browse through our range of jewellery on our online store here.

Fixing Fast Fashion – A Special Order Silver Necklace
Given the increasing popularity of ‘Fast Fashion,’ a phenomenon where trends are in one day and out (or thrown out) the next, it is no surprise that I regularly have customers coming to me with jewellery that they love but have not lasted the test of time. To keep up with fashion at such a speed, items are made quickly and cheaply to last a season rather than a lifetime. Not only is the throw away mentality terrible for the environment, but the premature death of a beloved piece of jewellery is often upsetting for the client.

The Eternity Band Remake
Since working for a jeweller I have seen many old and sometimes neglected wedding rings come through the door to be repaired. Years of everyday wear tend to reduce protruding details of the pieces such as claws and delicate filigree.
